Let's welcome BetterTreceMartires.org, a new open-source civic technology initiative for transparent governance and a more empowered Trece Martires City. Nitro Tech Media is proud to support its launch by sponsoring the domain and helping give the project broader exposure.
TL;DR: On August 26, 2026, we celebrated the launch of BetterTreceMartires.org, an open-source civic tech platform spearheaded by Arnel Baylon under the BetterGovPH community. Nitro Tech Media sponsored the domain and amplified the launch so more residents can find public information in one place.
What BetterTreceMartires.org is
BetterTreceMartires.org is a community-run portal built to make public information easier to find: city services, government links, transparency materials, and key local facts. It is part of the wider BetterGovPH civic tech movement, which uses open-source technology to help Filipinos engage with local governance more clearly and confidently.
The platform is an initiative by Arnel Baylon for a better Trece Martires, designed so residents can browse services, explore transparency resources, and stay informed without hunting across scattered channels.
How Nitro Tech Media supported the launch
Civic projects often start with strong ideas and limited infrastructure. For this launch, Nitro Tech Media contributed in two practical ways:
- Domain sponsorship: we sponsored the BetterTreceMartires.org domain so the project has a clear, trustworthy web address from day one.
- Exposure: we helped introduce the platform to our network so more people in Trece Martires and Cavite know it exists and can use it.
Our role was support, not ownership. Credit for the vision and build belongs to Arnel Baylon and the BetterGovPH community. We simply believe useful civic technology deserves a stable home online and a chance to be seen.
Why civic tech matters here
Technology is more than a tool for private innovation. When public information is easier to reach, communities can ask better questions, participate more fully, and hold institutions accountable with facts instead of rumors.
As a Trece Martires-based engineering studio, supporting BetterTreceMartires.org aligns with how we work: build useful systems, keep them accessible, and use technology to inform and empower the communities around us.
